ENGINEERING
Senior Technical Writer
SUMMARY
The Sr. Technical Writer will initially be engaged in a project to restructure and rewrite the documentation for the company’s products. Highest priority are components such as a Deployment Planning Guide, QuickStart Install Guide, Installation Manual, and User Manual. Later projects may include help systems, internal documentation, knowledgebase expansion, and training materials.
Qumu is open to hiring a contractor for this role, a permanent employee, or a contract-to-hire. The position is available immediately.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Extensive (5-10 years) of experience creating documentation for complex enterprise software products
- Very strong ability to organize and structure content, and present information in a clear and logical manner targeting different audiences
- Strong technical skills; must be able to install and run enterprise software to get the “hands-on” experience
- While adequate access to engineers will be assured, must have the ability to problem solve and learn the program’s operation independently.
Java Developer
SUMMARY
Create leading edge media management applications for customers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of software development experience
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience using J2EE, JSP, and Struts
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deploy J2EE applications and portlets on application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, ATG Dynamo)
- Design, develop, test & document software, tools, & applications
- Participate in entire development lifecycle
- Develop complex web tier functionality using Servlets/JSP
- Design UI using HTML layers & JavaScript for Struts frameworks
- Source code version control
- Deploy portlets & applications into test server environment
